Picky Eater

My son is 13 years old & is a very extremely picky eater.  When he was little we had to start putting cereal in his milk at about a month old cause he was not getting enough milk & was still hungry.  He loved eating peaches & pears mashed up as he got a little older.

When he was around 2 or 3 & could eat solid foods he would eat a cheese burger from McDonald’s or from Sonic.  He would even eat chicken nuggets from McD’s as long as he had ice cream to dip them in.   We even had him eating Jack’s pizza at home or Pizza Hut when we went out to eat.  The boy was eating good & even eating a variety of items not a picky eater at all.  He would eat a hot dog every now & then, uncooked no bun.  Mac & Cheese was a staple in our house, made with Velveeta not the boxed stuff.  He would eat this.

So around 7 he started refusing to eat any hamburgers anymore, then no more chicken nuggets.  A little later he wouldn’t eat Mac & cheese anymore either.  I mean what in the world was going on with my little boy.  I didn’t understand why he just one day no longer would eat the foods he had been eating for years now.  When he was around 10 he stopped eating Jack’s pizza.  I mean really what kid would refuse to eat pizza(a picky eater I guess).   But mine was!

Of course from the time he started school he would never eat at school.  He always took his lunch.  This almost always was Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jelly Sandwich.  Talk about a picky eater.

He will still not eat Jack’s Pizza’s, but does still eat Pizza Hut pizza.  He has in the last few months started eating boxed Mac & Cheese.  But for dinner almost every night it’s Crackers & Peanut Butter.  Tonight he had a homemade taco, this is the only time we can get him to eat meat is in a taco.  It can be homemade or from Taco Bell.  That part doesn’t matter to him at least he’s eating a little bit of meat.

You know what thou, even though my son is a very picky eater & doesn’t eat very much meat at all.  He is taller than me now, at the beginning of this year he wasn’t but in the last few months he has really shot up, like a bean pole.  Hahahahaaa

If you’re worried about your kid being a picky eater & not sure what to do.  I say leave them alone & let them eat what they want to a certain degree.  My son is 13 healthy & still growing, his picky eating hasn’t affected his growth one little bit.  Hopefully he will outgrow being a picky eater, but I suppose if he doesn’t he will always be cheap to feed. LOL
